I have two wrong wiring diagrams for my WVWAK73C16P101397 test mule at https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/wiki/VolkswagenPassatB6 and zero matching diagrams.

In real life I have alternator wire black/brown one pin away from CAN wires, CAN wires are at same position on both versions.

"Early" version shows green wire 64 which I do not have and alternator wire one pin away from CAN like I have.

image.png

"late" version does not have green which I do not have but alternator wire is two pins away from CAN unlike my reality.

image.png
This is a wiring Diagram error. This is the OEM info:

TIL: wow that CAN packet 0x580 Motor Flexia is an interesting one!
Those Germans do not know the word "flexia" maybe it's "Motor Potentaial"?

First 4 bits are a counter and depending on first two bits of the counter we have three kinds if payload!!!

If first bit is zero we have static engine description, like 4 cylinders, otto cycle, turbo, 4 valves even 2.0 displacement

And with "01" lower bits we have oil level and oil warning threshold.

https://github.com/rusefi/can-log-tools is a tool to convert CANbus trace combined with DBC file into a MLV log file.

Well, apparantly idle torque is liner-ish to TPS.

Stock ecu, proteus-in-the-middle. It has moved with custom packet 0x280 MOTOR_1! Transmission is still unhappy but way less unhappy than without MOTOR_1 packet.

Someone has pointed me at Leiderman-Khlystov - looks like this magic is supposed to give me some torque number by RPM based on a few magic numbers?

Got a sample code snippet but it does not seem to come up with legit numbers :( Output for 2000 rpm input should not be 1800ish for 2.7 TDV6 LR engine
currentRpm = 2000

maxPowerHp =188.7
maxPowerRpm = 3643
maxTorqueNm = 441.5
maxTorqueRpm = 2689

maxPowerKw = maxPowerHp * 0.7355

torqAtMaxPower = maxPowerKw * 9549 / maxPowerRpm
print('torqAtMaxPower ' ..torqAtMaxPower)

rpmCoef = maxPowerRpm / maxTorqueRpm
print('rpmCoef ' ..rpmCoef)

torqCoef = maxTorqueNm / torqAtMaxPower
print('torqCoef ' ..torqCoef)

M3 =(torqCoef -1) * 100
zz =(100 *(rpmCoef -1) *(rpmCoef -1))
print('m3 ' ..M3)
print('zz ' ..zz)

ax = 1 -((M3 * rpmCoef *(2 - rpmCoef)) / zz)
bx = 2 *((M3 * rpmCoef) / zz)
cx =(M3 * rpmCoef * rpmCoef) / zz

print('ax ' ..ax)
print('bx ' ..bx)
print('cx ' ..cx)

xx = ax *((currentRpm / maxPowerRpm)) +(bx *(pow(currentRpm, 2) / pow(maxPowerRpm, 2))) -(cx *(pow(currentRpm, 3) / pow(maxPowerRpm, 3)))
print ('xx ' ..xx)

Ne = maxPowerKw * xx

Me =(9550 * Ne) / currentRpm

print('Me ' ..Me)

Wow. This car has a (2.5 bar?) pressure sensor but it's _charge_ pressure sensor (before TB) not manifold pressure sensor (after TB)

Looks like it simply does not have a true MAP?! That's three hours of head banging. https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/wiki/VolkswagenPassatB6

Oh, and it has a DC motor runner position actuator with a sensor for closed loop control.

Fixed 50%ish duty cycle.

Trying to feed that frequency based MAF into rusEFI. We have a small frequency divider PCB but Proteus did not like it :( See https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi-hardware/issues/158

Reality seems to tell me that a manual GDI test mule would happen before I get time to finish VAG TCU integration :( Also GDI and TCU torque reporting have to be split into two separate action items. Looks like next step is a manual Jetta with same engine. I want this to happen but no timeline

GDI does care about injection phase very very much. https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/pull/4836 could be amazing for port injection but totally not for GDI. Ask me how I know!

car does not have MAP and MAF is now working, looking for help to improve TPS-based tune

pressure sensor is before throttle body so it's always baro pressure for now
MAF sensor is frequency based and we have issues measuring frequency reliable, different subject altogether

MAP tune which kind of starts the car even while no MAP sensor
https://rusefi.com/online/view.php?msq=1365
https://rusefi.com/online/view.php?log=1144

Same tune switched to Alpha-N is unable to idle the car, why? I was hoping for default VE to be ballpark close?
