Hi,
Im very interested in this project, It great to see some really innovative practical approaches to DIY Efi, and thankyou for the complete opensource nature of the product..
I have been using a MS3X in my Datsun Roadster for many years that built myself and have it running well. I now have a second project that will soon need a ECU, And im thinking to try Frankenso, I Apologize if these questions have been asked before, but if could get some clarification that would be great.
1. Is Frankenso considered to be as reliable in the real world compared to MS3
2. MS3 has a lot of flexibilty I/O wise, I am currently using PWM outputs to drive Thermo Fans, Temperature and Oil pressure gauges.
3. What are the advantages over MS3 on a feature or future features.

1. I know that Frankenso and microRusEfi is doing fine in endurance racing

3. I have zero experience with MS3. I would guess that MS3 has more features.

I also have 0 experience with MS3, so it would be difficult to comment.

Around 10 years ago, I got banned from the MS forums when I inquired about a design error. So I would suspect we are more reliable, as we allow conversions of the weaknesses, then we fix them.

I think you should ask stuff more like I'm looking for feature XYZ, does rusEFI support this? I don't think you really care how we compare to MS products, you probably care if it does what you want. There is a strong chance it does what you want, and if it does not, then there a strong chance it can be made to do what you want.

Thank you for the reply, yes you are correct, not after a comparison, just like what you guys are doing and would like support the project. I will be sure to word my questions as you suggested.. thanks, I also believe that there will be no progress without good discussions on design weakness.

Great thankyou, I had a look and its very flexible.

from another Australian, well Tasmanian. from the work I have been doing on hardware, Rusefi currently very usable and has a lot of features.
I have my Commodore VS 304 V8 running with a 36-1 trigger wheel and 8 LS coils and paired injectors (was running another ECU so i need to change the wiring).
