I'm a little late to the party but welcome! It's great to see another 190e around!

What is your plan to get the dashboard working? The original one that is?

Hi there! Well I'm using the stock 722.4 transmission so speed is good, coolant and oil pressure and fuel level are sensors that I am keeping on the car, and economy I'm going to turn into a boost gauge. Tach I'll just use the output from the Rus efi. Pretty simple!

Also the flexplate with the trigger wheel for the crank has 58 teeth and 2 missing. So 60-2. Easy peasy.

As someone wholly unfamiliar with Mercedes transmissions, is there anything the transmission computer expects from the ECU to be able to operate?

It's an old-school 4 speed auto no computer in it. So no complications. :)

UPDATE:

Stock harness fully pinned out, and excel sheet marked for which wires go to which on the new rusefi micro plug. Clipped and labelled each wire. Ready for my ECU to get in so I can populate the wiring on my breadboard and test sensor connection. Also I have the W201 190E chassis and power diagrams laid out so I know what to keep and use for as close to "oem" functionality with key on, gauges etc...

Hi there,

I am thinking of doing the same swap, but I have the 5spd MT on my 190E. Could you tell me if it was a straight bolt-on for the 4spd AT? Also, which other mechanical adaptations were needed? Thanks.

so bolts to the 722.4 no problem, and for mounting I have euro W124 e200 engine arms (w124 chassis basically same as w201, but the euro w124 came with an early M111 so its like legos) and it bolts right in no issue. Some custom fab needed for piping and whatnot. Not bad. Im in process of making an adapter harness that plugs into the 190e ecu plug, M111 stock wiring harness ecu plugs, and then into the RusEFI Micro so its plug and play :D

As of today ETB usability and documentation is not in a good place.

We currently have two efforts in the works in this area https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/pull/1273 and https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/pull/1274

I would assume that at least one would be finished in the next 72 hours. Do you have things to keep you distracted at least for 72 hours?
Im sure I can find a few things haha!

Maybe I should just message you directly, but I have a few questions I need help with:

1) In tunerstudio I did the benchtest of injectors (they fire nicely!) But now they wont turn off...how do I turn them off?

2) I fired the coils too, and while the rusefi console said it saw a 200ms event, I didnt hear the spark plug arcing. I am going to take it out to check, but just weird.

3) Where would I find values for the IAT (inside MAF) and CLT that the 2000 slk230 (what the engine and sensors are from) to setup tunerstudio correctly as far as temp ranges and voltages?

4) I want to have the micro RusEFI control my supercharger clutch, its is turned on with 12V. How do I do this? I want it to engage based on TPS and MAP. So when cruising and in vacuum the clutch is off. When accelerating clutch is on. So like On if TPS > 10%, Off if TPS is < 10% OR > 10% AND MAP < 50kpa (vacuum condition). Would I use FSIO in TS?

4) In regards to those 2 efforts, what would the conclusion be? A firmware update? or just some settings I need to turn on in TS?

Sorry If I sound like a newbie, just want to make sure I do things correctly :)

UPDATE:

Sorry ive been lacking, i found slack and it changed my life haha! Andrey somehow convinced me to start being a more active member lol jk.

So it runs now! I had some issues with outputs not working correctly, but I had matthew help and we found for outputs you want a constant value on (not pwm) you need to do like 5hz. This is gonna be fixed later i think. I have the MRE controlling the ETB, supercharger clutch, fan, fuel pump, injectors, etc.... with no issues! I am just working to dial in my tune now. I need to make an exhaust. its very loud haha! I am hoping andrey will post my latest video here too, or ill get a better one later

Jimmy, you chose to use external image hosting, not to attach an image here.

Please elaborate why did you choose this exact external hosting? Do you expect them to host the image for you for one year? Do you expect them to host the image for you for five years?

I did that because that is what most people do on most forums. I see this can be problematic, and I am working on a how to for forum posts here so we dont run into a photobucket issue...

Minor Update:

I am still working on the tune, when its in better shape it will be uploaded to rusefi.com/online for others to use as needed, just in case you want to blow up your motor too

I have been having voltage drop issues (rpm increases, voltage drops from 14.3 to 12.2) and it checked out at my alternator, its trash. The brushed on the v reg were basically gone and the shaft was super worn down, a new one should be here today. :D

Hi everyone im not dead, just busy. I have lots of updates and will post soon.

1) Car is getting a new harness with pnp adapter for MRE.
2) Car is getting turbocharged (I am keeping the supercharger too) so itll be twincharged like an 80s group b rallye car
a) custom log turbo manifold
b) fun ecu controlled bypass valves to manage where boost goes and how
c) lots of sensors to monitor/control everything

Should be quite fun. Turbo is an HE351, with the SC @ 1.5 bar abs into turbo and turbo set to 1.68 bar abs engine should see around 2 bar abs. :P

Hi. I have a 1989 190e 2.0-8v petrol. I also have a c230 kompressor which i am taking the engine, gearbox and wiring loom out of. The 190e has the 5 speed manual and the c230 has one of the auto gearboxes. What would be the best way to go about fiting the m111 into my 190e. Im not looking for 400hp just want to keep the engine standard.

Wait for 4-12 weeks, check the status of https://rusefi.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2005 plug and play development board.

In the meantime post a new "Hello World" topic and elaborate if you have more time, skills or money.
