My Build ,2005 Honda s type K24A3 Accord

Post by Jtech2020 »

Hi Guys
My project is a 2005 K24 A3 Vtec running on Rusefi MRE ,the engine is stock apart from the Cams.
I have the engine running sequential , had some problems with Crank and cam config ,its been a while since i have used TS,
But its all working !!! ,my next goal is to configure one of the digital inputs to read the intake cam position for VTC control.
Also i am lookin for some input for the FiSO config ? ,
congratulations to the guys at Rusefi its a nice compact powerful ECU, many possibilities.

James, I am sorry that you are having a bad experience with rusEFI. You are not the only one having a bad experience with rusEFI - the core dozen is aware that rusEFI is not a nice-to-use product by any means.

We are now making changes to make it more obvious for people not to make the mistake of expecting a refined product from rusEFI.

1) https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/wiki/Mission-Statement was recently changed to reflect that understanding

2) https://www.ebay.com/itm/333532119947 now has new clarification "This is a development board that could run a car, with the right software. If you are looking for a finished ECU to run your engine, this is not what you should be buying. If you want to get your hands dirty with engine management, this is arguably one of the most capable pieces of hardware to help you do so. If you buy this, you should be prepared to follow rusEFI development carefully (or write your own ECU software) and be interested in tinkering. This is not a finished product and if you require a finished product to run your engine, look elsewhere."

We are only a group of enthusiasts trying to do good. While we are trying to do good, we are just humans with day jobs and we have to be very careful in how we spend the extremely limited amount of fun time we can spend on rusEFI.

Trigger setup is a major pain point we are well aware of. While we are well aware of the pain point and while we even have some actionable ideas on how to improve things, it goes into the already overloaded bucket of ideas from which we pick when we have time.

Maybe one day there will be budget for paid developers - that's definitely not the case right now. You can help us get that day closer by supporting https://www.patreon.com/rusefi
