Locost7 Bp4w-T

Post by nottinghamster »

Hello , I’m jon . Last year I built a lotus 7 replica from the ground up with a little bit of my own flavor . It’s powered by a 2000 mx5 engine (bp-4w) with a Saab 9-5 turbocharger (tdo4hl-15t) abd a 5 speed . The suspension is a complete mix from lotus Elise coilover shocks , Mazda RX8 rear lsd and subframe and front handmade control arms . The seats are from a 90s Porsche 911. I’m currently running a factory ecu with a rising rate fuel pressure regulator . My RusEfi should be arriving tomorrow and I’m excited to start trying to tune with it. I mainly use the car for weekend spirited drives and local autocross .

Looking at the U-Haul trailer, I would assume the answer is yes.

Also: His unit is a Frankenso that I set up for 99-00 Miata maybe 2 years back? Maybe only last year. I forget. I'm not sure it actually ever ran a car.

So, @Nottinghamster: Get a full license of TunerStudio and Megalogviewer. (MLV is not 100% necessary, but it helps). Then see if you can connect to the ECU from Tunerstudio.

Also, please post more pictures of your LOCOST. Maybe some suspension pics since that seems to be interesting. And a pic of the ECU once you have it in hand- maybe one in the case, one with the top lid of the case removed. The top lid removed is likely going to be how you will be using it for the next few days.
