Vr6t civic

Post by Vr6tCivic »

Hello everyone, I'm working on my vr6t civic swap. Went with RUSefi for the engine management. I did have a standalone harness with a stock ECU but now I want to depin that harness and repin it to the RUSefi ECU. I'm new to all of this wiring stuff but not new to swaps and making power. Ideally I'd love to finish this myself so I can learn more but I'm also trying to get the engine running this month since I've got everything I need to finish it besides the axles.

Hey There!

This is jimmy who has been helping you on facebook messenger.

Looking forward to this build!

Lets start by you listing out (with part numbers) all of your sensors

Intake Air Temp:
Coolant Temp:
Throttle Position:
Crank Position:
Cam Position:
Wideband:
MAP (manifold air pressure):
Fuel Injectors:
Igntion Coils:

I see youre turbo, so youre going to do boost control. What boost control solenoid are you using (again with part number):

Are you using the VW after run electric coolant pump? Its very helpful for VR6 engines.

Hey Jimmy,

Sorry for the crazy late response. I'll most likely just use a 3 port 4bar Mac valve for a boost controller. Not using the after run pump at all. Here's all the sensors and hardware with part numbers.

Intake Air Temp: 0261231077
Coolant Temp: 025906041A
Throttle Position: Honda 37890-HNZ-006
Crank Position: 021906433C
Cam Position: 021907601A
Wideband: Spartan SP2_LSU
MAP (manifold air pressure): Honda 37830-PAA-500
Fuel Injectors: 0280150953
Igntion Coils: 0221604800
Knock sensor: 0261231077
Fuel pump: hellcat 525 in tank 8an feed 6an return aem for.

I have a digital dash with tuner studio on it and hotspot internet so I can get this tune loaded wherever I'm at and do logs and upload right away.

Thanks for any help I can get!

OK so your next step needs to be for each of those sensors/parts, you need to find the values (ohms or volts per measuring value) and plug those in on Tunerstudio. Also you need to select each pin for the signals in and out for your sensors/parts.

Remember, sensor grounds go to ECU ground (input) NOT chassis ground.
