This my buddy and roomate Noahs old 1985 240. Its a 2 owner car, Him and the previous lady. Unfortunately it has some hail damage but over all the cars pretty decent. Has less than 200,000 miles on it and still on the stock block as well. Automatic 4 speed. When I first obtained this car for him the fuel system had taken quite a beating from sitting around too long. I have ended up replacing almost everything including the gas tank its self. Currently the build is:

stock block + china bay turbo
late model turbo manifold, bead blasted stock intake
NA 07 s40 throttle body with PLA adapter that I made in blender, same for the accelerator pedal.
electric fan conversion
its on E85 with a flex sensor
S60R injectors

What ended up pushing this build to happen was The stock fuel system being constantly problematic, even after the tank and pump's replacement the stock computer continued to choke the motor with fuel. installed a wideband and found the stock computer bottoming the AFR rich. Used the dealership inline breakout box for the stock computer and found nothing with the stock MAF,Coolant or anything. got tired of it breaking down so i initially threw a speeduino on it over a weekend and started driving around. Car did alot better, put the stock N/A motor on E85 for giggles and discovered one of the issues with the car was actually the stock hall effect trigger in the distributor, it was unreliable when hot.

Friend really wanted a turbo so we started piling up some parts. I decided to use the rusefi MRE unit and so far its been pretty awesome.

Ive been having some trouble with the micro with the trigger im using but currently its running correctly and the car is in wasted spark, injectors are maxed out and currently waiting to get some 80lbs injectors. Car pulls well and the first set of spark plug readings are looking really good. tune is still pretty flaky but reliable.

Automatic 4 speed.
I've started the stopwatch for when your AW7x explodes... Have you done the accumulator mod yet to prolong its unfortunate life?

PLA? You're brave men bolting PLA to the cylinder head.

If the car is a 1985, I guess that means you have the crap distributor hall sensor. If you're willing to pull the engine - do it and swap in a light flywheel with the 60-2 pattern. My car was already a 1991 (and a 1993, it's complicated and there are two cars) with the 60-2, and it's SUPER SUPER solid. Starts super easy, never seen a real sync loss.

Here's my tune if you want to have a look: https://rusefi.com/online/view.php?msq=969

Mine is also turbo, but an endurance race car, so it's tuned pretty conservatively. Only 215hp/235lbft at the wheels, but it'll do it for hours on end.

That 120 pin at https://rusefi.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=45750#p45750 is that Volvo P1 or is that something else Volvo?

That's p2, this is 1985 so it's going to be LH-Jetronic 55 pin. Stock ECU doesn't even do ignition.

I am sorry I was vague.

I have a question not directly related to this topic here. As a group of Volvo heads can you please confirm or deny that connector pictured at https://www.ebay.com/itm/334489938390 which has 120 pins is P1 or P2 or else?

That connector is a P2 ECM connector.

Very aware of the accumulator mod. Havent had a chance yet as were currently super charging and camming the other LS 240 we have.

Yes we are just running the PLA for now until i have a better print. i just dont have access to anything better right now.

Also aware of the stock crank trigger available on later models. due to the time crunch i went for the optical Mitsubishi trigger, also to achieve full sequential. although i say that but currently its running in wasted spark.

which trigger wheel do you have in the CAS? What's the trigger problem you're having?

Im using a 24 tooth outside wheel, inside of the wheel has a window the length of 2 of the 24 tooth wheel, I cant seem to get reliable operation of the inside wheel because the cam input seemed to be unreliable. I think you mentioned on the slack chat that however that the current firmware release has this fixed.

There's a new mode to use this style wheel (developed for various Hondas, but supports this too).

Start with settings like this:

The trigger primary is the 24 hole wheel, and the "cam" sensor is the single tooth.
