Benelli 1130 3-cylinder motor - test mule

After reading and updating rusEFI documentation I bought a Benelli 1130 3-cylinder motor as test mule.
It's an abandoned engine that was disassembled 8 years ago due to high oil consumption and then left in a dealers workshop.
Head is in pieces and a few parts are missing hence it will take some time before a first start will be feasible.

I had to trip connector trim but overall it's probably good enough.

using a MRE ECU I currently understand that in addition the https://wiki.rusefi.com/rusEFI-Wideband-Controller/ will be required.
Is this correct understanding?

Emission standard to meet is Euro 3:
all measured in mg/km
CO , HC , NOx
2.000, 300 , 150

well, it's the next logical step from "get it running" to "run it legally".
Vehicles in Germany require a technical inspection every 2 years to be performed by an independent and licensed test lab (TÜV).
Vehicles that fail this verification lose their license plate and approval for road traffic.

Therefore I need to consider this requirement now.
