Hi I'm Steve and I'm going to be running my obd1 honda sohc d16z6 in my 93 civic

Post by Steveweippert »

As the intro says I'm Steve and I'm going to be running the uaefi on the engine in my 93 honda civic ex with a d16z6 sohc vtec engine.

It is running obd1. I rebuilt the engine with a skunk2 camshaft, cp forged pistons and Manley forged rods. It is boosted with a comp turbo oiless ctr2871s ball bearing turbo and an og greddy bov.

I have been messing with diy efi for some years building multiple speeduino ecu's and have been working with tunerstudio ultamate for a few years. I recently ordered a uaefi board to try out as it has more inputs ie. Onboard wideband and egt and a faster processor in a smaller package. I will be wiring it to a honda obd1 breakout board for a plug and play setup with the factory harness.

I have an aem stainless 3.5bar map sensor and the rest are honda sensors besides the aem x series wideband I have in the car will be wiring in sensor to the ecu as soon as I get it. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I am hoping to release a PnP based on uaEFI maybe in the next 4-8 weeks. Totally not ready for an announcement but would have to see your efforts wasted.

You can still build using an adapter maybe match the pinout? https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi_documentation/blob/master/Hardware/Hellen/uaefi-Honda-OBD1-adapter-a-schematic.pdf

This is the board I've used so far on a few of my speeduino projects it's a pretty decent board for the price comes with the connector. Yeah as the ecu'sin these Hondas reach 30 plus years old there is a giant market opening up for obd1 pnp for honda and also the same connector works with a few other obd1 Japanese vehicals.
