So that's less than 48 hours since I've decided to start engine #3 for a demo at a Lemons race next weekend:

Nice, nice. Also cool that I didn't have to offer much help. Your getting better with the electrical stuff. So, how long until the mini is going?

So as a re-cap of the time line, this would be the major steps start to finish.
1. Cam and crank were sniffed on April 10th, with a low cost logic analyzer.
2. Firmware was written to decode the crank / cam signal(s).
3. Injectors and ignition were connected to Frankenstein via OEM like harness adapter.
4. Fuel injectors, spark control, and such were tuned.
5. Engine was cranked and started on the April 12th. Which left you with Sunday to rest or fine tune it even more.

Not a bad time line, basically it's start to finish in 48 hours or less. Is that correct? I think total material cost was also less then $200 is that correct?

Oh, also I think you were working on Friday, so not all those hours count, also I know I bugged you from time to time about various other items. So again other distractions that took some time away from doing this engine 100% of the time. So well under 48 hours if I understand it correctly.

Cam signals (these are both cam signals - two sensors inside the distributor) were sniffed and recorded a year or two ago, but apparently nothing has changed since.

In this uber-minimalistic version the ECU board + brain board are really pushing the $100 threshold.

Thank you for the warm words. I do not have a Z5 engine to play with, but since rusEfi is universal you should be able to make yourself one, too. In case something you be missing I will implement whatever is missing :)
