Re: Ford 2.3 Lima
I've forked the other Lima motor into another thread just to avoid confusion, sorry for interfering.

Re: Ford 2.3 Lima
I can purchase a set of high ohm to get it going first. I'd like to try a resister box though if not.

Re: Ford 2.3 Lima
I believe my Accord has Low-Z and a resistor box, and rusEfi was driving it. 1995 Accord resistor box might be an option - http://www.ebay.com/itm/1995-HONDA-ACCORD-COUPE-FUEL-INJECTOR-RESISTOR-BOX-OEM-1994-1996-1997-/320930977930jfive wrote:I'd like to try a resister box though if not.

Re: Ford 2.3 Lima
JBPerf has several options for high Z to low Z options. http://jbperf.com/p&h_board/index.html#Buy

Re: Ford 2.3 Lima
So even though that is for Megasquirt, it will still work with frankenso ecu? Seams easy enough I guess.
Re: Ford 2.3 Lima
Correct, that board takes a high Z injector and makes it a low Z. It can be used with more than just MS stuff, but you would need to be able to adjust the tuning tables and such. Which MS and other after market ECU's can do.

Re: Ford 2.3 Lima
Spent almost three hours last night reading about trial and errors of the board and how things have come to be and its good to see. I hope that they guy that has spoken up with interest and experiance can get one up and running and show how easy this can be. I feel like I need a book to learn about what all is going on as from time to time I feel like you guys speak a different language when you refer to parts for the board. I like the Micro USB, SD, LCD, Multiple pin connections(58, 64, and hopefully ford 60). I think it would be better to use one make people add the parts to there engines to make them run and go with one setup, rather than spending so much time trying to figure out multiple types of manufacture's ways of doing obd I efi. LS engines have superior coil on plug and can be adapted to any engine easily, 58 and 2 wheel, or 36 and 1 or 36 and 2 wheel or 12 and 1 or 16 and 1, and one type of hall or VR senor ect ect. Once you get a universal setup working, then venture into all the other stuff. This is just the way I look at it.

Re: Frankenso - ECU shield compatible with OEM case
The fact that diypnp has the board is a good sign - that means that the connectors are available new somewhere. Now the question is what is the proper full part number. So far all the connectors we are familiar with have a TE part number - see http://rusefi.com/wiki/index.php?title=Hardware:OEM_connectors

Re: Ford 2.3 Lima
I am working with TE connectivity support (ex-Tyco) to figure out the 60 pin connector part number. Here's the question from them:
"If it is one of our parts, it will have either AMP, Tyco, or TE stamped on the housing somewhere. If that is stamped on it, there should be dots or dashes, or a combination of the two after that logo."
Does anyone an ECU they can take off the case & look at?

Re: Ford 2.3 Lima
Looks like EFI source has a source of ford 60 pin ecu hookups. Found an engine for 60.00 and hope it has the wiring harness. Also picked up a 4.00 china hall sensor, and gonna make a bracket and order a 36 and 1 wheel and get it setup. I have an extra ecu somewhere and i'll see whats on it when I find it.
Re: Ford 2.3 Lima
Try:
E4LB-13A359-B
That's the number my connector has on it - but that may be a Ford number. Good luck! It's my understanding that it's a proprietary connector.
If you can source it, try to get the terminals (the metal parts) and their mates as well.
The Ford logo is the only one I see.

Re: Ford 2.3 Lima
Is that the side attached to the PCB or the side attached to the wires? Any logos?jengeltx wrote:E4LB-13A359-B

Re: Ford 2.3 Lima
Just above where it attaches to the PCB.
BTW, I believe DIYPNP's web site mentions that the EEC connectors are used, because they were unable to locate new ones.
I wish you the Best of Luck, I've wanted to do some things to the wiring harness for a while . . .

Re: Ford 2.3 Lima
Drove back home to montana and grabbed both my 91 60 pin ecu and 91 harness. Harness is stripped but does have everything needed to install my efi engine in a non efi vehicle. Has relay box and seleniod, ect, ect.

Re: Ford 2.3 Lima
The plugs are used there are no new plugs available. You can harvest a stock plug pretty easy with just a heat gun.
Re: Ford 2.3 Lima
Have to find a heat gun and take mine apart. I'll keep my eye out at the junkyards for ecu's I guess. Lots of tempos and topaz that don't need ecu"s LOL.

Re: Ford 2.3 Lima
I have a propane torch, but knowing turbodad has done about 270 custom megasquirts to pnp i think he might have tried em all and likes the heat gun for a reason.
