So...I'm under the impression that the kit still requires some extra resistors and such to be completed. The "Bill of Materials" is the list if you want to buy everything from scratch, or is that the list of things that I still need to buy? Yes, the kit still requires a bag of assorted 0805 resistors and 0805 capacitors.

The Bill of Materials is the full list, as if you had nothing. You have all the non-0805 components mentioned on the Bill of Materials. For example http://www.ebay.com/itm/261718730568 could be an option to get most of the resistors.
