That will work, I've seen it done that way as well. I don't have any output transistors wired at the moment but I can put one in. Which ECU pin are you using for the main relay?

It's not enabled and it's flexible. Your config https://svn.code.sf.net/p/rusefi/code/trunk/firmware/config/engines/suzuki_vitara.cpp is now using PE6

The schematics for my ECU are here:

I won't be implementing the immobiliser functions.

Sorry, I meant which pin on the main connector; I may as well keep it the same.

I think it's this one - http://i.imgur.com/FqqAC3p.png - but better confirm with a multi-meter!

I need an ignition switch input as well, the Mazda ECU doesn't have that either.

Do not follow. +12v ecu power input is the ignition switch?

I thought that you meant that you had a separate input to the ECU from the ignition switch to wake it up and turn on the main relay. It doesn't matter it will work as it is if I include the extra circuitry.

The current topology for Frankenso is that when the key is off, the Frankenso is not powered. Then when the key is on, Frankenso is powered, and when Frankenso decides main relay is good, it turn on the main relay, for things like fuel injectors, fuel pump, etc. It sounds like your application is slightly different but can be made to work with this topology.

I understand another topology would be to keep the MCU always powered, then take it in and out of sleep via an ignition key input. This topology is often handy as it's easier to get a fast boot time. I'm not sure what the delay is for rusEFI, I know most of the lag during starting is caused by the crank decoder sync time.
Welcome to the friendlier side of internet crazy :)

Just added one line on top of http://rusefi.com/wiki/index.php?title=Manual:Hardware_Frankenso_board#Overview

I haven't had any opportunity to make any progress for some time, I have been working away on an OEM contract, That has finished now so I'm intending to get back to this. The Vitara won't start at present, I have chacked all the signals and they look good, I dropped the fuel filter and the petrol stinks - very, very stale so I will drain that out and fill with some fresh Super Unleaded and hopefully it will fire up.
I also bought an EFI kit for a 200cc motorcycle to fit to my old GY200, the kit looks OK although I'm pretty sure that the ECU is just the old Freescale dev. kit which was OK for bench testing but shouldn't be anywhere near a real vehicle. The name of the supplier amused me, the Go Boom Group, it doesn't translate well!

I know there is a similar thread on here already, but I will need to run it through Google translate.
