BMW likes this 134 pin header 967288 https://www.te.com/usa-en/product-7-967288-1.html - seems to be used all the way from 3 series e46 to v12 e65/e66

Also known as 965497-1

Seems to be same outer shape as 121 pin

Some documentation refers to this as Standard Shell Construction connector.

And my v12 seems to be using it.

https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/tree/master/hardware/Breakout_134pin_7-967288-1-Connector paper test is a success!

I have a couple of new connectors arriving in a few days.

Is that a miracle? It has simply snapped in as expected. Rev 0.1 seems to be a complete and utter success.

Code: Select all

1) left and right side x9 pin section need much wider traces at least where possible - some of those are used for not smart coils thus higher current.
is it even possible to make single 1oz traces work with not smart coil current?

of course - plenty of OEM ECUs do it. You just have to use a trace wider than 10-12 thou or whatever it is on this board.

We have more copper in version 0.2

We also have some gerber diff magic which I am not yet sure how to read at https://rusefi.com/docs/diffs/plots_134pin_7-967288-1/web/
