.. I'm assume:
12V_MREL ON - stopped engine
12V_MREL OFF - cranking
12V_MREL ON - run / idling

RIGHT .. ?
Nope. 12V_MREL is on in all three states. To archive this you need 12V_KEY to be connected to IGN-1 on picture above.

YES, you right ...

my meaning is wrong ... sorry for effort ...

Some cars have two 15 lines (15 and 15A) form ignition switch ..
and some has "main relay" for whole electricity in the car - drive by ECU PCM or PMU
.. some Proteus and microRusEFI for sale in Europe ..

...picked from SLACK ...

Automotive companies avoid to use small (tiny) SMD components
smallest smd (0402) can be shorted by humidity sooner ... as bigger 1206 ...

I have same old ecus ..and the smallest one are 0603 ... 0805 is standard ...
"bigger" caps are 1206 ... etc ..

(many OEM ecus has no protective film / paint / glaze)

Will be good to use "automotive grade" passives for the future.
C0603C104K3RACAUTO - for explame

..and on the other side ...
avoid to use "BIG electrolytic CAPs" ... it can be broken by vibration ..
(it is glued if it is necessary)
.. some Proteus and microRusEFI for sale in Europe ..

Pic of Ford or Hyundai not sure which one probably Hyundai

R22 is probably 1206?
I think I see at least caps smaller than 0603. Four sizes on the same board a bit insane.

Hi guys,
just looking through MRE. Looks really nice for 4-cyl applications.
You decided to use TLE8888 for it.
Did you find a reliable distributor for the procurement of this chip?
I only found Digikey, who seem to be willing to sell small numbers of it.
Is there any other second source?
kr, sepp2gl
Everything keeps being better ... ;)

It was designed before the chip shortage :( yes magic part dependency was a risk then and is a bigger risk now

There must be a reason you are asking, do you want to share something? :)

Re: microRusEFI

this is probably offtopic here ;-)
nothing particular. just saw a usb connector, which reminded me of some pronounced ideas of moving to can bootloader (still under construction?)

besides, when recently my brother was chip-tuning his diesel citroen, the garage guy soldered some wires to the ecu directly. he said he could flash it through a normal diagnostics connector, but in that case he won't be able to make a backup.

K-line or LIN might be too slow for this purpose, but the bandwith of CAN (a second one?) should be enough. However, with TunerStudio supporting only serial connection, there isn't much value in all this...

Just a reminder that we have a working prototype of CAN-to-serial-to-TunerStudio bridge just need to figure out if there are defects there or not.

BM2LC120FJ-C or BM2LC105FJ-C
these parts have pretty similar specs why do they even have two different parts? is that a trade off between speed and resistance or something else?

Different rdson resistance. Pick the lowest one since it makes less heat while on.

where do I read more about that CAN-to-serial-to-TunerStudio bridge? If it works fine, it might be a good idea to implement it on board, so that the ecu can be completely sealed?

Please update to latest https://rusefi.com/build_server/rusefi_bundle_mre_f4.zip and try again - I've changed something in that specific binary
Thank's, it's work.
Great to hear that we've made progress! For anything less general please post a separate build or separate questions threads

GD32F405 GD32F4 experiment failed: have a discovery board with GD32F405 - while openocd have successfully flashed rusEFI and st-link equally happy connects to this chip I do not even have LEDs blinking. Experiment goes on the shelf since zero priority.
