UB-20PMFP-LC7002 waterproof USB connector
by the way what is/are the part numbers for matching waterproof caps? I think Matt you've shipped me one a while back and I've forgotten about those. Time to start including into the set since we ship with case?

Amphenol's product page does not list caps, only assemblies to have a waterproof USB connected cable.

I think this is it...

https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/amphenol-socapex/USBBFC7/1119922

Also, appears to be a MIL-5015 standard size dust cap for a size 16 connector.

https://www.amphenolltw.com/2012download/2D%20PDF/04_USB%20Connectors/UB-20PMFP-LC7002.pdf says 1"-20UNEF thread

it also lists max panel thickness with waterproof cap.

https://www.mouser.com/datasheet/2/18/ALTW_catalogue-1820375.pdf says "D Size (Large Size:1"-20 UNEF)" oh and datasheet title is innovator in WATERPOOF solutions.

looks like CAP-WADMS is the mouser keyword and CAP-WADMSM and CAP-WADMSP are the two kinds? next step understanding the difference between those options?

and I think that you have found us a smaller version of the USB-B connector but have not yet confirmed size difference between USBBF7 and UB-20PMFP-LC7002

both CAP-WADMSPB1 and CAP-WADMSMA1 do NOT thread on 20PMFP-LC7002 due to the unthreaded neck on 20PMFP-LC7002 (bottom row on the photo)

Dave has stumbled into USBBF7 which is a smaller and more threaded sibling, in my opinion we shall migrate to USBBF7. That's top-left corner of the photo.

USBBFC7 is expensive because of chain, would be great to find a cap compatible with USBBFC7 for less money.

I have one hint for a future release

it's about two TX and RX pins..

it's can be FOUR ..
TX RX GND 3V3 .. (or 5V)

for "direct soldering" for any bluetooth module

It is possible to add a coin cell/battery to any proteus, to allow the SD logs to write with real time stamps?

Unfortunately not really. The STM32 supports it, but to hook it up you'd have to lift a pin on the stm32 and connect the coin cell there.

You'd have to be super careful to cut this trace between the via and cap, but yes, it would be possible:

Hey I saw that a few pics up about wireless possibly Bluetooth connectivity added to the board. Is there anything stopping us from using a remote bluetooth adaptor connected to the USB port?

Also the adding real time date to the log, am I to guess that when the key is turned off the board shuts down and log time resets?

I have BT module "instaled"on my MRE
and it can be placed on Proteus .. like this ...

You can use any "cheap" BT module for tuning via Tunerstudio
https://rusefi.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=1999
..but not for firmware update or rusefi console

The STM32 has a real-time clock, but it of course requires some source of power to run. Whenever the clock has a valid time, we write SD card logs with the date/time in the file name. Turn the board off, clock loses time, no date in the SD logs. In theory all you need is the battery for timestamps in SD logs.

I have not seen anyone using EGT so far. What's the wider context - why do you need EGT into and how do you plan to use it? Considering how unpopular it is it looks like best rusEFI can offer is CAN input and logging of EGT info.

we have small talk about EGT here: https://rusefi.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=44020#p44020

but... YES ..
two EGT channels will be useful on proteus

To Hmelik:
you need 2 wires for SPI bus .. SCLK and SO
..and one wire / line for CS# for each chip ..
.. some Proteus and microRusEFI for sale in Europe ..
