The switch to F429 was because some actual analysis of the performance gain of the F7 over the F4 determined that it wasn't actually getting us very much gain, and the F4 was plenty.
on the other hand there is some (minor) caching magic in F7 and it's safer to be more consistent between ECUs

One other quick question, those 3D printed cases, and chance I could buy one or 2 from someone? I don’t own a 3d printer and don’t have access to one.
I have the same exact question :)

My "28 Andrey" 0.4 Proteus does not power on by USB. I measure ~1 Ohm between GND and 5v test pads.

Is that 3v regulator pictured here? Is that some kind of repair or JLC assembly?

That was my rework - the 3v regulator was suuuuper crooked on that board. I guess I managed a short in the process :(

And the winner is that little dot of solder between pins #9 and #10 of U1204.

It's totally the case "blowing hot air at the problem 1$, knowing where to blow 1M$"

Hi Guys...

I can do the 3D printed cases for you..

only issue is I am in South Africa... If you guys are willing to shell a bit for shipping out to your side?...

If interested I could inquire as to the costs to send via courier.. Just need to determine How many and which ones? and to where?...
So I can arrange best pricing..

Kindest Regs
Gordon.

I will have a Prusa Mini in approx 2-3 week, at which point I can (in theory) start churning out Proteus cases

If the case is redesigned ever so slightly to fit inside a 180mm circle I may be able to print a few in some high temp plastics. I've got an all aluminum delta with a smart effector, full metal hotend, and a pretty high wattage heated bed. The large flat surfaces can be a little tricky, but I think I could do it in ABS or PC if I wrap it in cardboard...

Good day gents. Want to find out if the Proteus can trigger these Denso coils on the Lexus V8?

Merry Christmas Proteus, here's something from @stefans to cover you: DC-45F Heavy-Duty Electronics Enclosure with CNC custom cutout. Order was placed already, ETA middle-late January.

We have crimped Proteus pigtail kit now!

18 wires related to DBW are 200cm, the rest of the wires are 150cm. Available separately or as part of a kit on eBay. DM paypal is even better since that would save me 10% eBay fee :)

Yeah I can print some for you guys in PLA or PC.. PC will cost more as need to print with a raft.

PLA is probably ill advised - it gets floppy at low temp

PC would be overkill for a case. PETG is the sweet spot. Can tolerate at least 75C, fairly easy to print, can withstand load, doesn't brake easily. PLA is no good even for in cabin installations. In the engine bay it would deform after first run.

TBD if/when a batch will get run, I know there's already some interest over in this thread: https://rusefi.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=39441#p39441

Changes:
  • Added onboard barometric pressure sensor (yes, it's that tiny dot in the middle of the board near the MCU!)
  • Fixed knock audio output (3.5mm)
  • Various ease of assembly improvements

I have 4 knock sensors I would like to use on my motor, I'm hoping to get that working on the V4 and V2 if possible.

There is no hope for knock on Proteus 0.2 but Proteus 0.4 has knock gauge working just fine.

Would there be support for multiple knock sensors on V4 or at least 2 one for each bank?

https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/wiki/Hardware-Proteus-Wiring-v04 says two knock inputs.

So far I got one channel to show data on my v12, not sure why second channel not working could be hardware issue on my side.

You would need to add 4 wires into your harness let's discuss this NOT in this topic.

New V2 easy print case is now also good to go.
This fits the V4 and 5 versions of Proteus and is much simpler to print in PETG.

A little birdie told me the Proteus 0.6 uses single TLE9202 instead of two TLE9201.

That's because as of today end of life https://octopart.com/tle9202edxuma1-infineon-81704134 is way more available than https://octopart.com/search?q=TLE9201

I'm starting to wire up the 2 motors, debating if I want to sell the V2 and get the V5 for one of the motors. Can you expand on some of the updates.

1. Barometric sensor. Would this be more for fine tuning or something that is read by the computer dynamically during run to adjust for altitude?
2. Fixed Knock sensor audio output 3.5mm. Was this the Issue Andrey was having with one of the knock channels not working? What does this fix do for the user? I have a crap ton of knock sensors so would be nice to use at least 2.

Lastly since Andrey noted the proc being discontinued do you plan to release a V6 or are we waiting for a critical mass to get a bunch of the V5 boards our first?

Thanks again for any info!

Thanks for case, what about increasing the wall height to allow the rear USB to be cabled to the front on a plug? Just a thought.
