I have all sensors and engine from an opel CIH with bosch jetronic system. The TPS i discrete with 2 switches inside, so that you can tell the difference between idle, normal and full throttle. Does any of the other tested engines have this type of TPS?

The BMW M20 and M30 have this kind of TPS. The general way to deal with that is for them to use an M50-> onward TPS which is variable.

There is no reason RE cannot work with a on/off TPS if a MAP sensor is fitted, it just limits you to fueling and spark methods that do not use the TPS like the X-Tau acceleration enrichment.

If you can it is best to fit a variable TPS.

Also, FYI the M5x variable sensor has exactly the same plug on it as the 3 wire idle/WOT TPS so you can reuse the existing loom with the wires put to the correct pins on the RE. (rusEFI)

I had adaptor plates made for Bosch 0 280 122 001, which is found on Frontera. Laser cut 4 mm stainless steel. Thanks to Ekeby Rostfria!
