Wow your PCB design software 3D CGI is much better than most that I've seen.

The assembly process is very simple, only through-hole headers and modules:

Now it's ready for testing: 8-)

There're several options.

First, ME7.8.8 enclosure with 81-pin connector:

It's compact, cheap and can be waterproof sealed. Here's an example of OEM sealant:

Another option is Bosch M7.9.7 enclosure with 121-pin connector:

All these are low-price new enclosures obtained from Taobao.

Also, an old Bosch Motronic enclosure can be used with the same 121-pin connector:

Finally, one can also use a different type of 81-pin connector (also cheap):

It has a simple rectangular shape and is perfect for DIY 3d-printed enclosure!

Where can I get PCBs (or board files) for this? Or is it not yet functional?

We need a little more time for the testing, sorry...

Is the main board meant to be more vehicle-specific, with the modules that plug into it more generic? That is, is the intent to re-use the modules on multiple plug-and-play ECUs?

The intent is to re-use the modules, yes.
The main board is already PnP-compatible with some 121-/81-pin ECUs, but it can be also used with an additional adapter board for other PnP connectors. That's because the main board uses convenient 0.1" header-compatible holes, so the adapter boards can be easily soldered or even press-fitted directly to the main board (in place of the harness connector):

Some PnP adapter boards are already in development.

As an Audi guy, this makes me very happy!!! Is there a full spec/feature list floating around anywhere for this board? I'm in if you need a tester! I've got a B5 A4 on a commercial standalone ecu at the moment and just ordered parts to install a Proteus into it. Also have my daily A3 3.2 with dsg that I'd love to develop dsg control on. Just starting work now reverse engineering the powertrain(dsg) canbus on the A3... 🍻

As far is I understand, you have a ME7.5/ME7.1/ME7.1.1-compatible ECU which uses a 121-pin connector (81pin+40pin).
Currently we developed a Hellen81 board design, which is a 81-pin only version for ME7.8.8/ME7.9.7/M7.9.7/Yanvar7.2/Micas10.3, and which is NOT pin-compatible with Audi/VW ME7.x. So you have to wait for Hellen121, I guess...

I'm not ready yet anyhow, so no problems waiting a bit.
