Innovate LC2 serial protocol

Post by kon »

Just a little documentation on how to connect an Innovate LC2 to rusefi via serial protocol.

Since the LC2 talks RS232, a transceiver is needed. I used a MaxLinear SP232EEN-L https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/701-SP232EEN-L

Use the Innovate serial connector labeled 'OUT'
pinout:
1: TX (white)
2: RX (red)
3: NC (blue)
4: GND (black)

Since we are only reading data from the sensor we only need pin 1 and 4.
Configuration in Tunerstudio:

These sensors can be daisy-chained for up to 32 sensors in one chain. First sensor's 'IN' connector connects to the second sensor's 'OUT' and so on...
rusefi currently only supports a single O2 sensor, so this feature has not been tested.

not 100% sure, but it looks like it should work (using protocol 2)
