Breakout Board microRusEFI

Post by rubmack »

Hello everybody,
I plan to build a small debugging board for micro rusefi. It is supposed to be universal and easy to use. I want to have every pin accessible and to be able to disconnect every pin from the ecu to the wiring harness.

This is the first idea I have. Every Pin of the ECU has four jumper Pins on this board. The two ones in the middle have to be bridged with a jumper. That gives the opportunity, to disconnect it easily. With the jumper connected, there are two more pins, to measure. On the left side there will be the original pcb-connector from MRE and on the right there will be a harness with the other side of the connector. So it can be used with every micro rusefi, no matter what engine or harness is used. The Pins are grouped right now. The groups includes Power, Communication, Ignition, Injection, Sensor Inputs and Universal Outputs. Every Pin will get a description on the pcb, including the Pin Number an the function of the pin.

Does anyone has suggestions for improvement?

Best regards

I would recommend three improvements: silkscreen, silkscreen and silkscreen. On both sides.

I am stunned. Normally it would be LEDs :P

Though in this case some LEDs for some of the outputs could be done with some jumpers if you wanted to be able to connect a visual indication of a channel working.
Now keeping MRE in stock in the UK - https://www.FutureProofPerformance.com
