80 Pin ECU 8-1393476

Post by jwrb »

Hello all.

I've seen some of the PCB's for the 121 pin ECU connector used on many Audi / Skoda configurations.
https://rusefi.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=208

I was wondering if anyone has created a similar PCB already for the 80 pin connector, used on a number ov VW / Skoda / Seat engines including the early 1.8T and also VR6 configurations. If so, would you be willing to share the gerber file (or similar?)

Image

I would love to get some PCB's made for this connector if possible, as I am planning to utilise Rus EFI on a few of my builds.

Thanks

I have these connectors for sale but did not yet find time to list on eBay.

Do not have gerbers or breakout boards yet :( https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/issues/1676 created asking Jared for help one day, will poke him if he even has time available for this.

Thanks AndreyB. I've replied on the issue with the KiCad files for the board. Thanks for the support!

To update the thread, rusefillc has now added files for this connector, should anyone need it.

rev 0.1 is mostly a success!

We forgot small middle latch and it looks side latch/pins were flipped - looks like the x-distances between plastic parts are flipped.

Oh no! I've already ordered a few PCB's based onthe Gerber file!

Is this a big issue?

Does anyone have this 8-1393476-0 header? I'm desperately looking for one. That part number is for my 05 lotus. The vw part number does not work as I have that header on my counter. I can make the keys work however the pins are to wide. They are in the correct position but to wide to work with my connector.

Random note: Lotus 2ZZ-GE 04-05 has something very much similar but not exactly the same: breakout seems to be interchangeable, but not the header.
The pin layout and the shell is the same and the lock mechanism seems to work, but the pins are too wide to fit into the Elise female terminals.
