Main relay output

Post by Andreas_28023 »

Hello

I tryed to power the microRUSEFI with 12 V on pin5. I did not get the main relay output to work. I might have connected pin 29 wrong and sent 12 V on it, but the MR output is supposed to be protected. The voltage was floating and was not able to drive a relay low side.

What do you think?

Please confirm that you have GND any wire.

Please clarify if any LEDs are blinking on MRE.

pin #5 is the right pin to power MRE according to https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/wiki/Hardware-microRusEfi-wiring

Leds lights up upon powering and board is connected to ground.

I will check back into the garage hopefully during the week or at the weekend, shoot some pictures

Connection between IC TL8888 pin 55 and PCB connector pin 29 is OK, but I have poor connection in harness to PCB connector pin.

I will check the rest of the harness on the weekend.

If it is only pin 29 that is the problem, I can do a workaround and connect MR 12 V directly to pin 1.If I have more malfunction, I will need to get a new cable connector.

please clarify if that's rusEFI pigtail or you've crimped or else?

It's the rusEFI pigtail that I bought together with the board.

I have one pin not right in one of the pigtails myself. Your report makes it a second issue. Interesting :(

Is there anyway to extract faulty connectors, without the right tool?

I do not have a video, but you can take it apart with just a small flat screw driver. There is a sliding latch and there is a lock covering the rear side of the pins.

Both grey pieces come out.

Bottom grey piece moves out you have to pry that large side.

Top grey piece goes up, you have to prey from both sides.

That's all after you remove top black wire cap.

I extracted gray lock and pushed in pink 29 into position.

Seams to be working now.

Good to see you managed to resolve this, I have moved this to Hardware as it was a hardware issue.

@Andrey - Is it worth me checking the pigtails I have here?
Now keeping MRE in stock in the UK - https://www.FutureProofPerformance.com
