Rusefi wideband controller no communication

Post by Boostonabudget »

so not sure if its a bug or fw issue but cant get the wideband controller to communicate any info at all. so far have check high low wiring, resistance, settings, debug, checked connections near 20 times with a multimeter. no canbus data from wideband and constantly fails to heat up the sensor.

Rusefi wideband not sending canbus data

Post by Boostonabudget »

Need to get wideband going to I can iron out my tuning. Have everything running OK enough for now with the only things left I need to tune requires me to have working wideband. I'm definitely out of ideas as to what would cause the controller to just not send any data at all. Have updated both controllers, tripple checked wiring, disconnected canbus from vehicle to run wb only, checked resistance, check h and l wiring is correct, checked debug and canbus setting. Anyone else have some ideas? Did I flash the wrong fw or file? Just want it to work haha I've attached a messages log from console showing send and recieve is turned on. It's at 500kbps and afaik it should all be working.

I do not have any helpful information but I am asking to please not double post.

Rusefi wideband controller is in pretty early phase of adoption, too few people have experience with it. Please consider purchasing something not rusEFI off the shelf.

Resolved original issue yes, tuns out when the first chip committed supuku it took out the canbus on the carrier as well. After changing the carrier we fixed canbus and found the cause of the overheat issue to be something different.

Oh so hardware issue. What's the story about first chip committing supuku?

Not really sure on this. There has been no wiring changes before or after the 1st chip. First time we plugged in the wideband it did the still current 4 flashes for overheat a few times while sorting out cranking settings, after about 3 or 4 cranks we notices there was no flashing at all, we checked 12v 5v and everything we could think of but no luck. Upon replacing the chip tho the new chip worked. After that I assumed everything was good again, until finding out the first chip also took out canbus on the carrier as well. Now I have a working chip and carrier all communicating and working fine apart from the as mentioned overheating issue 👍
