Schematics draft added to https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/wiki/Hellen-88-BMW
Just attempted to place the order! Schematics link updated last chance to find issues while I am working with JLC on placing the order.

Are you sure you have the BOM?

This board is still being developed. Issues were discovered and first order attempt was cancelled. Progress was done today, I hope to order first batch in September.

Adding a couple more case fit pictures for the M60 case.

(And no, there isn't anything on that IP anymore, it was a note to myself a long time ago) :P

I have an old 325is from 1995. This is the first car that got to test the new Hellen 88 board. This board is designed as an (almost) plug&play replacement for the Motronic M3.3, M3.1 and M3.3.1 (my car is M3.3.1).
After some initial bench testing to verify that things are unlikely to blow up when plugging it in, we had success starting the engine on the 2nd try. See video below. The first try was unsuccessful because the crank sensor (VR) signal was inverted. Quick jumpering on the board corrected that issue and the car fired right up:

Idle control works too:

Find the car on rusEFI online:

On this and some other boards there is an option to use either dumb or smart coil

For smart coil a wire/0R resistor/jumper should be installed in while positions. If your board comes with IGBT in red position it would easier to remove a fuse (brown)

For dumb coil an IGBT should be installed in red position while white jumper is not installed.
