52MM CAN Guage

Post by Wonderingwobble »

None of the work is credit to me other than stumbling upon this. Originally this gauge is for a Megasquirt system, Obviously this wont work for us. But since that part is just coding hardware wise its no brainer. Here's a link to his dev page https://www.msextra.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=67&t=56565 and here is the Source Code and Eagle files for the board https://github.com/merkur2k/MSCan_Gauge/tree/teensy component wise almost everything is pretty cheap other than the GPS unit. This is not required of course and same with the IMU. I've only gotten basic software stuff running myself mainly due to the fact IDK what I'm doing software wise. Originally this was coded for a Teensy 3.1 I believe there was only a slight difference for the 3.1 and 3.2. 3.1 is discontinued. And I've not had a issue using 3.2. Ill give a break down of most component's:

GPS https://www.adafruit.com/product/746 40+shipping
IMU https://www.adafruit.com/product/1231 17+shippping
RGB ring https://www.adafruit.com/product/1463 10+shipping
OLED Display https://www.adafruit.com/product/938 20+shipping
Rotary Encoder https://www.adafruit.com/product/377 5+shipping
Teensy 3.2 https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/adafruit-industries-llc/2756/6827117 25+shipping
DC/DC BUCK https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/recom-power/R-785-0-1-0/2256218?s=N4IgTCBcDaIJwBYCsBaAjABgMwA4UDkAREAXQF8g 8EA+shipping

There are some other ancillary components to be purchased as well. Most everything else can be purchased from whomever. But since everything can be purchased from 2 vendors that cuts down on shipping if piece milling. Ill try to get some pics of my setup just to show. I had PCB done by JLC and did everything else myself.
