rusEFI to Merc adaptor loom

Post by zokstoj »

Hi all, Zoran here from Melbourne Australia.
I just wanted to show everyone an idea I have been working on with rusEFI.
I play with many makes and models but one of particular interest of late is the mercedes m111 engine and the w201 platform (190e).
In Australia our resources are limited with modifying this platform and more so engine swapping the platform. Although we have ample m111 engines here in other cars, not many people have done swaps of this engine like in Europe and the U.S
The guys in Europe and the U.S who supply parts for the swap are amazing but with the Australian dollar and shipping costs it becomes very expensive for us to perform such modifications.
This is why I have been working on an Australian version of a complete kit to do the engine swap in hope to help my fellow Australians and possibly other parts of the world (due to our exchange rate being half of the usd, euro and pound)
The idea with rusEFI is to have a plug and play adaptor which will act as a connection between the micro and the MB engine loom. I will be making a power loom and front body loom to connect the ecu to power and additional sensors ect and will also be running MB ignition coils using the rusEFI ignition board.
All parts have been supplied by rusEFI and we are now at the stage of connecting the dots so to speak and testing our work so far.
Once that is done I will be making an enclosure for the adaptor to keep it safe and secure.
Please feel free to give any views or ideas on the project.
