Best method to connect to "real dash" app.

Post by bbbrad »

Hi, this is my first post. I'm planning on moving from a microsquirt to a uaefi. I'm planning on running a tablet style dash, a Samsung or Lenovo. What are my options. I'm guessing...

A Bluetooth device added to the board and connected via Bluetooth.
A standard USBC to USBC wired connection.
Some way of using the canbus output. (What's involved here).

I understand that in simple terms if using a USBC to USBC wired connection I might not be able to tune at the same time?

I'm just a simple mechanic. I've wired in link, speeduino and megasquirt products. So take it easy on me. I know the basics but I'm not a programmer.
Thanks in advance.

TL,DR: Bluetooth is a horrible option, assume that it's not an option

while you are tuning you have yours laptop gauges. While you are not, it better be USB-C

for proper money you go proper CANbus dash
