I guess it depends on how you shut down the ECU. If you monitor the 12V, when you see that drop below like 5V, you could then kill devices that consume 5V power like fuel and spark. Your 5V will drop some time later. So you could potentially keep powered for a bit after the key has killed your power supply.

That would be awesome. Currently I'd guess we need approx. 2 full crank rotations before we sync. Immediate sync is pie-in-the-sky stuff, but definitely worth keeping in mind.

If I could materialize all my pie in the sky concepts, we would all have lots of pie. For now we just need to keep taking manageable deserts sized bites.
