Matt reminds about some stm32h7 drama https://www.eevblog.com/forum/microcontrollers/stm32h7-series-revision-beware-of-the-changes!/

And also AN5337: STM32H7 Series lifetime estimates:
https://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/dm00622045.pdf
https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X0000BB3xB6/stm32h7-series-lifetime-estimates
480MHz + 100c die temperature = less than 2.5 year life
For comparison, the F4 doesn't even have a lifetime doc, and the only thing mentioned is the flash retention, which is spec'd at no less than 10 years at 105C, and 30 years at 85C.

Re: STM32F7 and STM32H7 very high performance MCUs
While H7 176 pin pinout is "compatible" there are a few Easter eggs:
176 package has pin PC2_C not "normal" PC2 available on BGA packages - both are ADC inputs routed to different peripheral.
PA4/PA5 pins while also ADC pins use new to us high indices within ADC

Re: STM32F7 and STM32H7 very high performance MCUs
Just a recap of STM32H7 rusEFI status:
1) there are rumors of Matt fitting some 144 pin on STM32H7, not sure if just a test drive around the block or daily duty
2) 176 pin Hellen81 has driven a few meters but running custom not yet published firmware

Re: STM32F7 and STM32H7 very high performance MCUs
I am here to substantiate these rumors! Since this youtube video, my v8 wagon has been running on H7. 5 or 6 months or whatever it is now.
