may I contribute?

Hi,

maybe I can happen to be of some use around here. I will explain it.

I have to make about a couple of open source little programs or pieces of software during the following months or so. They are intended to become a kind of portfolio. I can choose the language and the platform, within the limits of my skills and my interests:

-Java (other JVM languages might be considered, especially Jython)
-C/C++
-Some assembler
-Matlab
-Areas: emulator, simulation, applied maths, OOP, microcontrollers

I have always loved open projects such as RuseEFI and the "typical" smart contributors around them, the people. That's why I've just thought that perhaps I might use this chance to contribute somehow.

Do you have any idea for a little tool or piece of software (doable within a copule of weeks time) that might be useful for the RusEFI or for the EFI/car hacking scene around?

You can reply to this thread or send me a private message.

Every suggestion or idea will be seriously considered!

D.

PS: please keep in mind the time restrictions I mention - at the moment I don't have time for a longer-term contribution because I need to speed this up (unfortunately, I need to get by!).

Oh you absolutely may!

Separate complete tools would probably be challenging, but a few separate sub-systems need to be created from scratch. Most are features one is a defect:

java console self-update: https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/issues/260
C++ https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/issues/416
C++ https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/issues/416
C++ https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/issues/372
java https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/issues/220
C++ defect fix https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/issues/307
java https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/issues/418
