This module could be made to work, it basically relocates a serial stream. However we already have the ITEAD_HC-0X on the board, which can also remote a serial stream. I believe using the HC-0X would be an easier development cycle. I don't know about how hard the software would be. As well you could use the CAN controller, it can provide 5V, GND and CAN allowing a 4 conductor cable to remote signals. A wireless device runs a risk of failed communications, which might be of concern if you are using it as a kind of dash board.
