Two stroke Efi (#14)

Post by Number-One »

Hello.
This is my project. I´m converting a 50cc sachs engine to 100cc Efi.

Original engine is like that

Nice. Looks like you are going liquid cooled as well. Do you know what pressure you get from that fuel pump? It looks much nicer than what I did for my small engine. Do you know what kind of current it draws? I'd bet it draws less than mine is drawing.

Hi, pressure i don´t know yeat. In normal utilization arround 300/400 ma. This is original from a Honda cbf125, i think cbr 125 uses similar pump but inside of the tank. Cbf 125 is outside of the tank.

Your probably going to need an external regulator, it doesn't look like that's got a regulator. They seem to sell such items here http://www.ecotrons.com/products/small_engine_fuel_injection_kit/

Neat project! I like my air cooled motorcycle (Moto Guzzi Breva) for simplicity.
Some day I may try converting my carb'd '90 Kawasaki Ninja to EFI just because, but for now the carbs are doing a good job.

What is the motivation behind the changes? Or "just because"?

you engine was 67cc ?
now its 105cc

new cylinder looks much better, and the scavenging ports quite effective.
yes, quite unlike the cylinder GY6 1P40QMB

you'll make a new cylinder head?
Oxygen sensor to put you?

Do you have VR circuitry ready? You should be able to spit it by hand and see some LED flashing - if you have an LED :)

You only need ~15 components to test VR input
