I have things running on my 5V power supply now, so far so good except for the lock up thing. Also, when I change the cranking fuel settings it seems to be OK as long as I am connected, but it is back to no fuel on crank on re-start. Do the changes not get burnt into memory when I make a change?

you need to execute
writeconfig
command to burn the changes into memory

I am done with the stuff I wanted to finish and I am now making progress with configurable MAP sensor.

Which ADC pin do you have available for MAP?

On my analog board output 2, output 6 and output 10 are not available.

On Discovery PC6 and PA5 are dead.

At present I have:
TPS on input 5 to output 5 to PA4
MAP on input 9 to output 9 to PA0
IAT on input 7 to output 7 to PA2
PIP on input 11 to output 11 jumpered to PA8
CLT on input 8 to output 8 to PA1
O2 on input 12 to output 12 jumpered to PC1

I still have available on the analog board output 1, output 3 and output 4.

Let's wire MAP to board channel #1 - that's PC5 that's ADC_CHANNEL_IN15
Let's wire Baro to board channel #3 - that's PA7 that's ADC_CHANNEL_IN7

A new command which might help is mapinfo

You would need to update the firmware, java console and TS config

I have MAP connected to input 1. I don't have an extra MAP sensor but I can connect a pot to Baro if you like. At this point I'm not sure where to get the latest updates for everything.

Still http://rusefi.com/build_server/ for the pre-compiled binaries and still https://svn.code.sf.net/p/rusefi/code/trunk/firmware/ for source code

No go on the precompiled binaries. Didn't we have to use a Zombie.zip, or something else because of PA8?

Do you want to test the MAP without the trigger signal?

I guess I can make trigger input pin somewhat configurable, but you have the compiler set to compile a custom version :)

I'd like to test all my I/Os.

EDIT

With my hand vacuum pump "mapinfo" shows ~102.67 KPA at rest, ~11.5KPA at full vacuum showing ~27InHg on the gauge. Elevation ~100 m ASL. My Aneroid barometer shows 101.6 KPA, but I don't know how accurate it is, or the vacuum gauge for that matter.

Looks pretty good to me.

I've made input pin a bit more configurable. The default trigger in the official firmware for set_engine_type 7 is PA8 now.

Please update firmware, set_engine_type 7 and reset firmware, Should be PA8 for you.

I have good news, and I have bad news with the latest binary.

The good news is that I get a MAP signal. I also get an RPM signal, for a while. I get no signals for TPS, IAT, CLT or O2. The program will run for about 30 seconds or so, then locks up. A reset will allow a re start, but it locks again.

What does 'analoginfo' say? It should give you pinout and voltages. Does it show expected pinout and actual voltages?

Yep, I am trying to fix it as we speck - it comes and goes. Do you get the RED led when it locks up? Can you update to latest firmware once again? Can you connect to the firmware via putty (not via java console) and see if you would get error message in the last lines before the lock? I wonder what that message would be.

analoginfo shows expected pinouts. Voltages show change when pots are turned and analoginfo commanded again but no response on the gauges except for MAP.

No change with the latest firmware.

What red light?

I don't have putty and have never used it. Any alternative?

I'll be away from my computer for a few days, I'll check in when I'm back.

There are four LEDs between the buttons on discovery - blue green orange and red. That red LED is turned on in case of fatal firmware error.

Putty is really simple, hyperterminal is another option - HT is sometimes build-in into Windows. All you need to enter is your current COM port name, you can leave all other parameters to defaults. More on this @ http://rusefi.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=283

Nope. No red LED on lock up. When running the blue flashes and green is steady until ~550 RPM at which time green flashes as well. On lock up the blue and/or green may or may not go out.

No error message on HT or Putty.

The lock up doesn't seem to be RPM related.

Can you please try latest version? I hope I have fixed the red LED.

In putty/HT, are you receiving a constant flow of smth like

Yep. Constant flow, then it just stops.

I'll try the latest firmware.

EDIT

Sorry to report, with latest pre-compiled binaries. Still no gauges other than MAP. Program still locks.
