Once you get the brain board, you would need to 'program' it with the rusEfi firmware 'binary' file - more about that here.


Once you have the firmware programed you can connect to it with our java console, with TunerStudio or with any terminal application like Putty.

On the picture below the black mini-USB cable is used to power & program the board, the orange micro-USB cable is used for communication and the yellow jumper wire sends the simulated trigger signal back into the board. discovery_and_wires.jpg

First thing you might want to do once you connect to the firmware via the dev console or terminal would be setting your engine type.
Once you set your engine type, you might be interested in jumping the "1 EMULATION" pin to the "TRIGGER IN 1" as defined in the pinout and enjoy some cyan wares in the "Digital Sniffer" tab of the java dev console.
