TLE8080 breakout board

Post by AndreyB »

TLE8080 could be the basis for nanoRusEfi like needed for scooters and other tiny engines. Something similar to https://rusefi.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1496 but for TLE8080 would help.

I'm a bit of a skeptic that this would be good. I think we need buck boost for the first stage. As well we need it to come up really quick with minimal energy. I think the NRE is aimed at pull start battery free, with one pulse per rotation. I fear this chip will not work for that application.

It looks like the 8080 can handle a 6V to 18V operation range, while the 8888 is 4V to 28V. We are currently debugging a low voltage weakness with the 8888, I fear this would be worse with the 8080.
