There is some interest in using microRusEFI hardware and rusEFI software as programmable BCM/BCU while engine is running with stock ECU. Well, we now have a checkbox to consume sensors via CAN OBD-II protocol, together with https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/wiki/FSIO it makes a programmable BCM.
